TUALATIN -- Lower Boones Ferry Road will see weekend closures
in August as part of the I-5 Paving & Auxiliary Lane Project.
Here
are the details.
- The Lower Boones Ferry Road on-ramp to southbound I-5 will close
10 p.m. Friday Aug. 3 until 5 a.m. Monday Aug. 6.
- The Lower Boones Ferry Road off-ramp from northbound I-5 will
close from 10 p.m. Friday Aug. 17 to 5 a.m. Monday Aug. 20.
This
work is part of an effort by ODOT to improve operations and safety on I-5 from
OR 99W to Interstate 205. Electronic message signs from both directions on
Lower Boones Ferry Road will alert travelers of the ramp closures.
Detour
signs will be in place with the suggesting the Carman Drive
interchange, is less than one mile north, as an alternate route. Drivers may experience an
increase in traffic near and around Lower Boones Ferry Road as drivers are
redirected to alternative routes.
The sidewalk closure now in place at the Lower Boones Ferry Road
southbound on-ramp will remain and pedestrian detours will be in place. No
other sidewalk and bike lanes will be affected.
Throughout
construction, up-to-date traffic information will be available at www.tripcheck.com or by calling 511.
