Final workshops on new Safe Routes program set for Springfield, Ashland

SALEM – The final two workshops will occur in Springfield and Ashland to help school districts, safety advocates, parents, teachers and others interested learn about the new state program that will fund Safe Routes to School projects such as improving intersections, adding sidewalks and more. Here are details:

 

Springfield

Aug. 8, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Agnes Stewart Middle School, 900 S. 32nd St.
Hosted in conjunction with the Lane Area Commission on Transportation meeting.

 

Ashland

Aug. 16, 10:30 a.m. – Noon
Ashland Branch Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.
Hosted in conjunction with the Transportation Options Group of Oregon meeting.
