Beltline closure and paving project & OR 126 paving project update:
July 27 - August 3

Know before you go for construction on Beltline Highway between Roosevelt Boulevard and Coburg Road and OR 126 Veneta to Eugene. Work zone locations are updated on TripCheck.com so you know what to expect on your travels. Most work occurs at night, some on weekends, and all schedules may change due to weather.

OR 569 Beltline Highway week 2 closure information

OR 569 Beltline Highway

Be In The Know: Sections of Beltline close in one direction over the next four weekends. You will be able to travel in both directions, but only on one side. Lanes are separated by temporary barrels. Speed is reduced to 40 mph. Choose different routes or modes to get to where you need to be. Check out maps and see a project video.

The second Beltline weekend closure starts at 9 p.m. tonight (Friday) and goes through 5 a.m. Monday morning, eastbound between Roosevelt Boulevard and Highway 99. The eastbound on and off-ramps at Barger Drive will also be closed.

We’re moving fast! In last weekend’s closure crews completed the entire westbound portion between Roosevelt Boulevard and Highway 99.

Weeknight paving continues 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Thursday nights. Expect ramp and lane closures, follow detour signs, and slow down for work crews. Crews are working east to Coburg Road, and then will return west to River Road.

OR 126 Veneta to Eugene Highway paving and safety improvements project continues with pavement repairs nightly, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday nights through Thursday night. Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Repair work is moving east from Veneta.

The project includes paving between Cornerstone Drive in Veneta and Terry Street in Eugene, rumble strips, and adding a right turn lane and two bus pullouts at Ellmaker Road. Where appropriate, shoulder rumble strips will be placed based on the road shoulder width and distance to businesses.

More improvements coming:

Interstate 105 (Washington/Jefferson Street Bridge) bridge repair project will bring four I-105 bridges and ramps between Delta Highway and downtown Eugene up to current standards. The bridges were built in the late 1960s and early 1970s and need repair and upgrades. Work will include upgraded guardrails, deck paving, seismic retrofits, joint replacements, and other repairs. The project is scheduled to begin in late summer/early fall. Work will occur day and night. Lane closures and detours will be limited as much as possible, but will be necessary.

The Beltline/Delta Interchange Project will begin next year, after paving is completed.

We are working closely with the City of Eugene, Lane County, Lane Transit District, and other partners to coordinate area construction projects and minimize your inconvenience. Each agency has their projects on TripCheck.com. Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, and cyclists is available and identified through or around work zones.

Please check routes before you go and expect delays and detours in work zones. You may travel through several work zones. You may need to adjust your route, your time, or try a new way of getting where you are going. Updates on construction will be sent to the mailing list on a regular basis as work continues through the summer.

We appreciate your patience! We promise to get in, get done and get out as quickly as we safely can. The end result will be a safer and more reliable transportation system that connects people and helps Oregon’s communities and economy thrive.
