Ramp from I-5 southbound to I-84 eastbound closed July 8-23
Starting at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, the ramp from I-5 southbound to I-84 eastbound will be closed until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23.
This is one of the three interchange ramps that will completely close 24-hours a day for up to two weeks. In addition to these closures, ramps will close overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and possibly for full weekends through November 2018.
Use detours, such as I-405, or plan to use alternative transportation modes.

Significant delays expected
Travelers should expect delays and backups on I-5 southbound that last most of the day and night and that could stretch to the Interstate Bridge during this closure. Information on options to avoid delays are available at BigFixPDX.com and on the online open house.
People heading south should consider using Interstate 205 or other southbound routes, take transit, bike, walk, consider telecommuting or working from an alternate location.
More multi-day ramp and interstate closures and delays in July and August
Two-week, around-the-clock ramp closures will take place at I-84 and I-5 throughout July and August along with full directional (all lanes going northbbound and/or southbound) closures of I-5 for paving work between the Fremont and Marquam Bridges. Nighttime lane closures on I-5 will also be continuing for paving work from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Here is the closure schedule:
10 p.m. Friday, July 13 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 15: I-5 southbound will close between the Marquam and Fremont Bridges.
10 p.m. Friday, July 20 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 23: I-5 southbound will close between the Marquam and Fremont Bridges.
10 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6: I-84 westbound to I-5 northbound is closed.
10 p.m. Friday, July 27 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2: In addition to the I-84 westbound to I-5 northbound ramp closure, the center lane of I-84 westbound will close near Lloyd Boulevard. This will only leave the left lane open on I-84 westbound.
10 p.m. Friday, July 27 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 30: I-5 northbound will close between the Marquam and Fremont Bridges.
10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 to 5 a.m. Aug. 6: I-5 northbound will close between the Marquam and Fremont Bridges.
10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27: I-84 westbound to I-5 southbound will close. This means only one lane, the right lane, of I-84 will remain open.
