Be
prepared for nighttime closures on I-5 and at the interchange of I-5 and I-84
Construction crews are intermittently closing lanes in both
directions of I-5 at night through North Portland as they work
to repave approximately six miles of I-5 and exit and entrance ramps
between the Interstate Bridge and Moda Center. The night work helps minimize
traffic impacts during the day. The maintenance project includes paving,
grinding, median barrier work, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant sidewalk curb ramp excavation, and
construction and sign work.
Intermittent nighttime closures are also starting at the
interchange ramp from I-5 NB to I-84 EB. The nighttime closures will be in
place periodically between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.. Drivers on
I-5 NB may detour onto I-405 NB to I-5 SB to get to I-84 EB.
