Lane County state highway construction update: June 4 – June 8

 

The Oregon Department of Transportation is committed to providing a safe and efficient transportation system. ODOT invests in Oregon’s future through roadway improvement projects. The following are located in ODOT Region 2, Area/District 5, Lane County.

US 101: Siuslaw River Bridge (Florence) (MP 190.8 -191.2) http://www.oregon.gov/odot/projects/pages/project-details.aspx?project=17526

 

The Siuslaw River Bridge is located at the south end of Florence on U.S. 101. Repairs are being made to the bridge and its protective coating, seismic upgrades are being added, the railing upgraded, and pedestrian access improved.

 

Travelers should expect up 20 minute delays. Workers are present most hours of the day with various shifts scheduled to not interfere with each other for the different parts of the work. The project is to be completed by the end of March 2019.

US101/OR126: Florence Pedestrian Crossing Project (OR126 MP 0.16 / U.S. 101 MP 189.82 & MP 190.03)

Three crosswalks with safety features and ADA accessibility are being installed in Florence at the intersections of OR 126W and Redwood Street, and on U.S. 101 between 15th and 16th Streets, and at 12th Street.

 

Travelers should expect up to 20 minute delays from single lane closures on OR 126 and U.S. 101. Lane closures will be Sunday from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. and Monday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. Work may occur at all three locations at the same time. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2018.

OR 569: Beltline Highway Paving Roosevelt Blvd. – Coburg Rd. (Eugene) (MP 4.38 - 11.67)

Crews are repairing and repaving the roadway, installing bridge deck membranes, repairing bridge approaches, and installing pavement markings and delineators. Crews are currently working on bridges between Roosevelt Blvd and Coburg Road.

 

Travelers should expect up to 20 minute delays from single lane closures on Beltline between 9 p.m. Monday night to 5 a.m. Friday morning. Detours from ramp closures will also occur. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2018.

Interstate 5 Ramp paving – Cottage Grove

Crews are paving the northbound I-5 onramp from Cottage Grove on Monday night, June 4. Tuesday, June 5 – Thursday, June 7, paving will occur on I-5 southbound Exit 174. All work will be done at night. Travelers should expect intermittent closures of the exits.

 

OR 99 paving – Creswell

Monday night, June 4, the eastbound lane of Oregon Ave will be paved between Interstate 5 and the railroad tracks. Traffic will be flagged.

 

 

OR 99 paving – Goshen

OR 99 will be paved Tuesday, June 5 – Thursday, June 7 between milepost 0 and 2 in Goshen. All work will be done at night. Traffic will be flagged.
