South Salem DMV Office has moved
New location is on Commercial Street SE
As a reminder to Salem-area residents, the South Salem DMV office moved to a new location at the end of January.
The office, formerly located at the Sunnyslope Shopping Center, is now in a larger space with more parking at 4825 Commercial St. SE Suite 120 next to Physiq Fitness and near the Bottle Drop Redemption Center.
The North Salem DMV office has heard from customers who are not yet familiar with the new South Salem location. DMV is investigating whether it can post more prominent signs at the prior location to direct people to the new one, as well as issue reminders such as this.
DMV announced the move online and in a news release in mid-January, and updated the address on www.OregonDMV.com.
Office hours remain the same: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except Wednesdays, when the office opens at 9 a.m. The South Salem DMV offers all common DMV services except Commercial Driver License drive testing.
Any time you need to visit a DMV office, first check www.OregonDMV.com to find office hours and locations, and to make sure you have everything you need before your visit. You also can do some DMV business from home at OregonDMV.com. You can renew your vehicle registration, file a change of address or file notice of the sale of your vehicle online without getting in line at an office.
