ODOT Hosts OR126 Roundabout Open House

Set for Thursday in Prineville

Highway managers with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the City of Prineville invite the motoring public to an informational open house to learn about the upcoming highway roundabout construction on OR 126 in Prineville.

The open house will be held on Thursday, January 25th from 4 to 6 pm at the Crook County Public Library, 175 NW Meadow Lakes Drive, Prineville, OR 97754. ODOT personnel will present details about the planned roundabout construction at the intersection of OR 126 and Tom McCall Road, assisted by Prineville city staff, and will be available to answer questions about the project.

The $4.9 million project has been awarded to Alex Hodge Construction under contract by the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Roundabout construction will begin this January and is expected to be complete by October 2018. Most of the work will take place to the north of the existing highway. Drivers can expect minimal delays during construction, except for periodic night time flagging with delays of up to 20 minutes.
