OTC to hold October meeting, workshop in Silverton

(SALEM) — The Oregon Transportation Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct 19, at the Main Lodge of the Oregon Gardens, 895 West Main Street, in Silverton. In addition, OTC members will hold its annual workshop at the same location Oct. 19 and 20.

The formal meeting will begin on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Agenda items include a request to decommission the U.S. 97 at Wickiup Junction Project, a request to solicit proposals to develop and implement tolling technologies, and a discussion about the ODOT Management Review.

The Thursday formal meeting will be live-streamed at www.YouTube.com/user/OregonDOT/live. 

The annual workshop will begin at 2:30 on Thursday and will continue into Friday. The Thursday workshop includes a presentation and discussion on the 2021-2024 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program funding scenarios. The Friday session begins at 8 a.m. in the same location. Workshop topics include roles and responsibilities of the commission.

On Thursday evening at 6 p.m., members of the Oregon Transportation Commission and ODOT senior executives will participate in an Executive Leadership Dinner. Commissioners will receive a presentation from Pivotal Resources about commission roles and responsibilities.

Meetings of the OTC are open to the public and time will be available to hear public comments.
