State Highway Construction

September 4 - 8, 2017

 

Lincoln County

U.S. 20 PME: UPRR – Eddyville (Phase 4) (U.S. 20 MP 15.78 – MP 31.48)

Project Summary:

  • Construction of landslide mitigation and geotechnical features
  • Over 350,000 cubic yards of earthwork
  • Construction of roadbed, aggregate base and asphalt concrete pavement
  • Installation of drainage, guard rail, striping, and signing
  • Installation of a wildlife crossing culvert under the new roadbed
  • Erosion control
  • Landscaping
  • Re-routing public traffic onto the new alignment

 

Remarks: Excavation, drainage, and work on building the new roadway alignment continues on the west end of the project. Blasting work is now complete. 24 hour flagging is scheduled to continue on Tuesday, Sept. 5 and last approximately two weeks. There will be no flagging or lane closures during Labor Day weekend. When the flagging work is complete, traffic will be permanently routed onto the new alignment. Travelers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes.

U.S. 101@NE East Devils Lake RD (U.S.101 MP111.0 – MP111.6)

Project Summary:

  • Add a left turn lane on U.S. 101 at NE East Devils Lake Rd
  • Create wider shoulders and improve sight distance in an effort the reduce crashes

Remarks: All work is now complete except for minor repairs. Minor repair work will be taking place in the next couple months. Expect minor delays of up to 20 minutes.

Lincoln/Benton County

U.S. 20: Clem Rd – Philomath Paving (U.S. 20 MP 33.35 – MP 49.86)

Project Summary:

  • Perform Subgrade Stabilization and Pavement Repairs
  • Grind and pave full width
  • Install guardrail, pavement markings and signing
  • Construct new bridge rail and bridge waterproofing membranes

 

Remarks: Work is taking place Sunday through Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The contractor is working on full width paving and grinding, guardrail replacement, and bridge waterproofing membranes. Flagging and pilot cars will be necessary, expect minor delays. No work will take place from noon on Friday, Sept. 1 to midnight on Monday, Sept. 4.

Benton County

OR99W: Lake Slough Bridge Replacement (OR 99W MP 103.50 – MP 103.76)

Project Summary:

  • Replace the existing bridge that dates back to 1919. The new bridge will be wider and longer than the current one
  • Install new guardrail, drainage features, and landscaping

Remarks: The temporary traffic signal is operating and traffic is now using the completed half of the new bridge while the remainder of the old bridge is removed and replaced. Drivers can expect minor delays. The project is scheduled to be complete in November 2017.

Linn County

US20 Albany – Highway Improvements Associated with New Fire House   (Downtown Albany MP 10.82 – MP 10.91)

  • Reconstruct curbs
  • Reconstruct sidewalk & sidewalk ramps
  • Remove Fire Signals
  • New marked crosswalks

Remarks: Highway improvement work on the east side is underway. Traffic lanes have been shifted through the work zone.

US20 Lebanon – City improvement project of Airport Rd & Russell Drive   (MP 14.10 – MP 14.27 vic.)

  • Add Right turn lane on Airport Rd
  • Relocate signal pole
  • Reconfigure Russell Drive which will when completed prohibit left turns from Russell Drive

Remarks: May include lane closures on highway between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 6 a.m.

Linn/Marion County

I-5: N. Jefferson – N. Albany

Project Summary:

  • Repave I-5 northbound and southbound from MP 234.62 to 245.04 including acceleration/deceleration lanes and interchange ramps.
  • Install micro-surface sealant on the outside shoulders.
  • Install new pavement markings and delineators

Remarks: On-ramp and off-ramp paving will begin Sept. 5. Ramps will be closed during paving and a signed detour route will be provided. Expect minor delays and lane closures from 10 p.m. Sunday night to 5:30 a.m. the following day, and 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday night to 5:30 a.m. the following day. There will be no work or lane closures over Labor Day weekend. The project is scheduled to be complete in October 2017.

Sunken Grade Repairs US20 MP55.5

Project Summary:

  • Make vertical grade adjustments to improve roadway section.

Remarks: Traffic will be directed through 1 lane with flaggers 7am to 6pm Sept 5-7.
