Hall Blvd. down to one lane starting Monday while flashing beacons installed
Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on Southwest Hall Boulevard north of OR 99W starting the week of Monday, Aug. 28 while crews install a new pedestrian flashing beacon.
The work will begin the week of Aug. 28 through Sept. 15. The traveling public should anticipate intermittent lane closures over the course of the project. Construction activities will take place Monday through Friday, 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
The pedestrian flashing beacon, now in numerous locations around the Portland area, improves safety for all transportation modes and users.
When the beacon is activated, travelers on Hall Boulevard, OR 141, will see bright, flashing lights alerting them that a pedestrian(s) or bicyclist(s) will be crossing the street at the upcoming crosswalk. Highway travelers must then stop until the pedestrian and/or bicyclists have completed their trip across the road.
The new pedestrian beacon is scheduled for activation by the end of September.
