at the Jade International Night Market

ODOT staff will be available at the Jade International Night Market, Aug. 19 and 25, with information about three upcoming improvement projects in Southeast Portland.

The booths will be open 5 to 10 p.m. on both nights.

The projects are:

  • OR 213: 82nd Avenue Signal Upgrades Project at Foster, Woodstock, and Flavel. Outdated traffic signals will be replaced and advanced sensors and software will be added to improve traffic flow and safety. Sidewalk ramps will also be upgraded to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
  • OR 213: 82nd Avenue of Roses Implementation Plan between NE Killingsworth and SE Johnson Creek Boulevard. Planning is underway to improve safety, mobility, and access for people using 82nd Avenue.
  • I-205 Paving and Auxiliary Lanes – Johnson Creek Boulevard to the Glenn Jackson Bridge - Three auxiliary lanes will be built to significantly relieve recurring congestion and reduce crashes. In addition, I-205 will be paved in both directions and many intersections and ramps will be paved and improved.

Additional information on ODOT projects is on the website: www.oregon.gov/odot.

The Jade International Night Market will be held at the Portland Community College Southeast campus, 2305 S.E. 82nd Ave., Portland. This community event features international cuisine from local businesses, cultural performances, and a celebration and recognition of the vibrant community that resides in the Jade District neighborhood and East Portland.
