Overnight lane closures on I-5 in Southwest Portland for paving
Watch for crews in the roadway
Paving will take place requiring multiple lane closures along Interstate 5 in Southwest Portland starting Saturday.
Saturday, Aug. 5
A contractor will close the right lanes of I-5 northbound between Oregon Highway 99W and Taylors Ferry Road from 7 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday for paving. This work will include closing the truck climbing lane and the OR 99W on-ramp.
Saturday, Aug. 12
A contractor will close the right two lanes of I-5 southbound between Capitol Highway and Haines Street from 7 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday for paving.
We all want to get home safe. So far, during this construction season two people have been killed when working on Oregon roads. Orange is Your Clue! When you see orange signs, barrels, cones, and barricades, slow down and watch for highway workers.
Hear from our workers who share their experiences getting hit by vehicles while doing their jobs and why we work at night to help keep you moving.
