Sidewalk closures next week on both Interstate Bridge spans

Interstate Bridge sidewalks

closed next week for repairs

The sidewalks on both spans of the Interstate Bridge will close next week but not at the same time.

  • The sidewalk on the southbound span will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday July 10. During this closure, the sidewalk on the northbound span will remain open.
  • The sidewalk on the northbound span will be closed 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday July 11 and Wednesday July 12. During this closure, the sidewalk on the southbound span will remain open.

The closures are necessary to allow crews to carry out repairs and electrical upgrades.

The work will have no impact on the bridge’s main travel lanes.

The Interstate Bridge is jointly owned by Oregon and Washington and is operated and maintained by ODOT. The northbound span opened Feb. 14, 1917 and the southbound span July 1, 1958.
