Central Oregon Road Construction UPDATE: Week of June 19, 2017

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is continuing to invest in Oregon’s future with roadway improvement projects throughout Oregon’s central region (ODOT Region 4). ODOT is committed to providing a safe, efficient transportation system. The following projects reflect ODOT’s commitment to make improvements as traffic numbers rise and to make the roadways safer and more efficient for drivers. All work is dependent on weather conditions. Red denotes new or updated information.

DESCHUTES COUNTY

US97 @ Wickiup Jct. (La Pine)

Contractor is working on the embankment around the bridge.

US20 @ Barclay (Sister) Project

The contractor will be installing sidewalk at night. For night work expect up to a 20 minute

delay.

 

US20: Suttle Lake - Santiam Summit

 

The contractor will begin work on installing temporary signs as well as temporary fence. The

work will be during the day and the traveling public can expect up to 20 minute delays.

 

US20: OR 126 Jct - Deschutes River Bridge Sec.

 

The contractor will be at buckaroo trail to begin the repair of the East bound Lane.

Traffic will be shifted to the North which will eliminate the West bound turn lane (into Three Creeks) as well as the two

way left turn lane. The work will be during the day and the traveling public can expect minimal to no delays.

 

JEFFERSON COUNTY

 

US26: Gumwood Lane - Earl Street Sec.

 

The contractor will be on site installing rumble strips and recessed pavement marker.

The work will take place at night. The public can expect up to 20 minute delays.

 

KLAMATH COUNTY

 

US97: UPRR O’xing – Military Crossing and

OR58: Crescent Lake Hwy – US97

 

Paving grading and striping. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and pilot car, expect 20 minute delays.

 

OR140: Green Springs Interchange – KFRalls/Malin Highway

 

Surveying, excavation, grading and paving work. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and pilot car during night shift, expect minor delays.

 

 

South Central Oregon Chip Seal Project

 

Chip seal work on Highway 97 from MP 169.72 - MP 183.24. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and pilot car, expect 20 minute delays.

                                                             

 

WASCO COUNTY

 

I-84: Mosier - The Dalles Sec. MP: 70 – 84

 

The Contractor will be performing cleanup operations around the Project, single lane closures will be in place. Expect no delays.

 

 

US26 & OR35 ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) Project

 

US26 MP 47-58, 59-71 & OR35 MP 56-58, 82-84 & Timberline( MP 5-6)

Project Consists of Paving, Grading, Signing, Signals, and Intelligent Transportation Systems installation
