Ramps connecting I-5 and US 30 to the Fremont Bridge close overnight Sunday-Wednesday

Nighttime ramp closures to Fremont Bridge begin Sunday
Ramps from U.S. 30 closed 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday

Bridge inspection work will close on- and off-ramps from U.S. 30 (Lower Columbia River Highway) to the Fremont Bridge (Interstate 405). Here is the schedule of the closures:

Sunday, June 4, 10 p.m. to Monday, June 5, 5 a.m.
U.S. 30 eastbound on-ramp to I-405 southbound closed

Monday, June 5, 10 p.m. to Tuesday, June 6, 5 a.m.
U.S. 30 eastbound on-ramp to I-405 northbound

Tuesday, June 6, 10 p.m. to Wednesday, June 7, 5 a.m.
Single lane closures of I-405 northbound at the Fremont Bridge

Wednesday, June 7, 10 p.m. to Thursday, June 8, 5 a.m.
I-405 northbound off-ramp to Interstate 5 southbound closed

Engineers will use the information from the inspections to design a project that will rehabilitate and preserve eight approach ramps connecting I-405 to the Fremont Bridge. Construction will begin in the spring of 2019.

The Fremont Bridge opened in 1973 and spans 1,225 feet across the Willamette River.
