US20 Sisters: Temporary Barclay Closure Set
Affects US20 @ Barclay Roundabout Construction
SISTERS – Beginning this weekend, (Saturday, February 25) access to Barclay Drive at US20 in Sisters will be closed for about 4-5 weeks while the contractor, Knife River, performs excavation, places base rock, installs curbs & sidewalks, paves, etc. in order to complete the Barclay side of the roundabout.
The majority of work will occur Monday through Saturday during daytime hours.
US 20 will remain open and work will not result in significant delays for through-traffic.
Travelers trying to access Barclay Drive should follow signed detour routes using Pine Street.
The purpose of this $3.2 million project is to improve safety, mobility, and access at the intersection of US 20 and Barclay Drive located just west of the City of Sisters downtown area. The roundabout will be constructed in three phases to minimize impact to the traveling public.
Construction of the roundabout improvement will be completed by Memorial Day.
