SALEM – Beginning Mon., Nov. 7, the HighDesert POINT bus route in central Oregon will operate on its winter schedule, allowing additional time for winter driving conditions. This change, which means earlier departure times from Redmond, Bend, Sunriver, and La Pine, only affects the southbound schedule. Visit the POINT website for information on schedules, ticket prices, connections to other transportation options and more.

The HighDesert POINT acts primarily as an Amtrak shuttle for passengers connecting to and from the Coast Starlight train at the Chemult Amtrak Station. The route provides daily service between the Redmond Airport and the Chemult Station, making a total of five stops. There are two trips per day in each direction. This service is operated by Pacific Crest Bus Lines and managed by the Oregon Department of Transportation. The regular route times will resume April 9, 2017.
