Central Oregon Road Construction UPDATE: Week of Oct. 17, 2016

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is continuing to invest in Oregon’s future with roadway improvement projects throughout Oregon’s central region (ODOT Region 4). ODOT is committed to providing a safe, efficient transportation system. The following projects reflect ODOT’s commitment to make improvements as traffic numbers rise and to make the roadways safer and more efficient for drivers. All work is dependent on weather conditions. Red denotes new or updated information.

 

DESCHUTES COUNTY

 

US 97: Romaine Village Way to Lava Butte

 

Construct widening of west side shoulder, slopes, install median barrier, and paving.

 

For the week of October 17th, 2016. The Contractor will be placing concrete barrier and Impact Attenuators at the center line of the roadway on the South end of the project. Roadway striping may be intermittently ongoing throughout the week. Various lanes will be closed for daytime operations as needed.

US97 @ Wickiup Jct. (La Pine)

Project Consists of Bridge, Earthwork, and Drainage along US97.

 

For the week of October 17th, 2016. Contractor working on facia walls as well as preparing to set girders between Bent 1 and Bent 2.

Reconstruct of George Millican Road from MP 0.17 to 1.50

 

For the week of October 17th, 2016. The Contractor will be paving wearing course on Millican Road in the area of MP 8.0 to 15.0. Expect 20 minute delays.

OR 380: Ochoco Creek Bridge Replacement

 

For the week of October 17th, 2016. Bridge work will continue throughout the week. Contractor to work on reconstructing the road off each end of the bridge. Combs Flat Road will be closed Oct. 1st thru Oct. 22nd.

KLAMATH COUNTY

OR 140: Ritter Rd. – Deer Run Rd. (Bly Mtn.)

This project will reconstruct 9.2 miles of OR 140 in the Bly Mountain area (from Ritter Road to Deer Run Road). The intersection of OR 140 and the Bly Mountain Cutoff Road will be realigned.

 

The Contractor will be working on seed & mulch, permanent sign, delineator, and pavement marking installations. Also, project clean up. Traffic will be controlled by Flaggers and Pilot Car during some work shifts. Expect delays up to 20 minutes.

US97: UPRR O'xing - Military Crossing & OR58: Cresecent Lake Hwy - The Dalles - California Hwy

 

Aggregate shoulder placement, Sunday night through Friday Morning (7pm - 7am). Delineator installation during daylight hours on the shoulder. One lane traffic at night controlled by Flaggers and Pilot Cars. Expect delays up to 20 minutes.
