Woodburn DMV will close for a week to move

More lobby space and customer parking at new location

The Woodburn DMV office will close for four business days in late September to move into a location with more lobby space and parking to serve the area’s growing population.
The office will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, and reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at its new location, 1575 Mount Hood Ave. Suite 130.
The new 6,000-square-foot office will provide more parking spaces for customers. The Woodburn DMV has been in a 2,520-square-foot office at 1550 Industrial Ave. for 16 years. Woodburn’s population has grown from about 20,000 in 2000 to about 25,000 today, according to U.S. Census estimates.
Business hours will remain the same: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, except Wednesdays when the office opens at 9 a.m.
During the days before and after the closure, customers should expect longer wait times. During the closure, DMV recommends these offices to Woodburn-area customers who need to visit a DMV in person: North Salem, Gladstone or Stayton.
Wait times for these offices and other large DMV offices are posted online at OregonDMV.com
Before going to any DMV office, the agency suggests that you first check OregonDMV.com to make sure you have everything you need. Common transactions such as renewing vehicle registration, updating your address, and reporting the sale of a vehicle can be done online.
