Expect delays for pavement chip seal starting August 8 along OR Hwy. 244 (Ukiah-Hilgard Hwy).

UKIAH, Ore., - Beginning August 8 the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be chip sealing the Ukiah-Hilgard Highway (OR 244) in Union and Umatilla counties between the junction of U.S. Hwy. 395 at mile post zero and the junction of Interstate 84 at mile post 47 (Hilgard State Park/Exit 252). The project is expected to take about three weeks to complete and will include resurfacing the pavement through downtown Ukiah.

Travelers can expect up to 20-minute delays, reduced speeds, loose rock on the roadway, flaggers, and pilot cars directing single lane traffic through the work zones. Minor delays may occur during nighttime/early morning hours for road sweeping. Please slow down and watch for construction activities in the area and plan extra travel time during this highway preservation project.
