SUBJECT:     13 FOOT WIDTH: I-84 MP 203.65 to MP 217.75 EB & WB (Pendleton)

MULTIPLE RAMP CLOSURES: I-84 Exits 207, 209, 210, 216 (Pendleton)

 

Beginning August 10, 2016, I-84 eastbound and westbound between MP 203.65 and MP 217.75 will be restricted to 13 feet 00 in. in width between the hours of 6 PM & 6 AM. The restrictions are necessary to facilitate a paving and striping project on this section of I-84.

 

In addition, the following ramps will be intermittently closed between the hours of 10 PM & 4 AM:

 

  • I-84 EB & WB Exit 207 ramps to/from US30.
  • I-84 EB & WB Exit 209 ramps to/from US395.
  • I-84 EB & WB Exit 210 ramps to/from OR11.
  • I-84 WB Exit 216 off-ramp to OR331 (Mission Cutoff).

 

No more than two interchange ramps will be closed at any given time. The estimated date of completion of this project is September 16, 2016.

 

Detour Route Information:  

 

No local detour available for the width restriction on I-84. Motor carriers hauling loads need to avoid traveling through this area during the restricted days/hours, or use authorized alternate routes.

 

There will be signed detours in place during ramp closures, directing traffic to the next available exit/entry points.

Motor Carriers need to provide this information to their drivers, by copy of this letter or other means, to assure their awareness of the restriction.
