                        Over-Dimension Permit Unit

 

SUBJECT:     RAMP CLOSURE: I-84 EB Exit 252 to OR244 (west of La Grande)

                       

On Monday, August 8, 2016, the ramp from I-84 eastbound Exit 252 to OR244 will be closed between the hours of 6 AM & 12 noon. The closure is necessary to chip seal the ramp.

 

Detour Route Information

 

The following detour is approved for annual permit loads up to 98,000 lbs. GVW, 21,500 lbs. per single axle, 43,000 lbs. per tandem axle, PWT-3 for heavy haul loads; 105,500 lbs. GVW, 20,000 lbs. per single axle, 34,000 lbs. per tandem axle, PWT-2 for divisible loads: continue eastbound on I-84, take Exit 256 (Perry exit), cross over the freeway and enter I-84 westbound, take Exit 252.

 

All other vehicles exceeding these weights will need to continue eastbound on I-84, take Exit 261 (OR82 exit), cross under the freeway and re-enter I-84 westbound, take Exit 252.

Motor Carriers need to provide this information to their drivers, by copy of this letter or other means, to assure their awareness of the restriction.
