Medford DMV closing week of July 25 for move
More lobby space and customer parking at new location
The Medford DMV office will close the week of July 25-29 to move into a larger location to serve the area’s growing population.
The office will close at 5 p.m. Friday, July 22, and reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at its new location, 987 Medford Center Drive. Business hours will remain unchanged: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, except Wednesdays when it opens at 9 a.m.
The Medford DMV has operated at its location on Progress Drive since 2001. According to U.S. Census estimates, Medford’s population has grown from about 63,000 in 2000 to nearly 80,000 in 2015.
The new location provides customers with nearly 800 square feet more lobby space. The new site also offers more parking spaces for customers.
During the days before and after the closure, customers should expect longer wait times. During the closure, DMV recommends that customers visit the Grants Pass or Ashland offices if they need to visit a DMV office in person. Wait times for the Grants Pass office and most other large DMV offices are posted online at OregonDMV.com
Before going to any DMV office, the agency suggests that you first check OregonDMV.com to make sure you have everything you need. Common transactions such as renewing vehicle registration, changing your address, and reporting the sale of a vehicle can be done online.
