Public Comment Period Extended for Middle Housing Oregon Homes Rulemaking
The public comment period for the Middle Housing Oregon Homes (MHOR) rulemaking has been extended to October 2, 2026. This extended public comment period is specific to the proposed draft rules for Oregon Administrative Rules chapter 660, Division 47.
The Land Conservation and Development Commission will meet as scheduled on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and conduct a public hearing with possible adoption of the proposed draft rules for Oregon Administrative Rules chapter 660, Division 46.

Comments submitted by 11:55 p.m. on October 2, 2026 will be considered by staff in the rule draft for the commission’s staff report, deliberation, and possible adoption at their October meeting. All comments received by that date will be shared with the commission.

Staff expect to produce a final recommended set of rules for community review in September. Interested community members should be signed up to this Rulemaking Gov Delivery account to receive that notice.
The commission's next business meeting will be October 22-23, 2026. Staff expect to post the meeting agenda to the Commission Meetings webpage by October 8, 2026.Up to date information is available on the department's Rulemaking webpage.
