Feedback Opportunity: Coquille Point Marine Garden Management Plan Draft 

The Oregon Coastal Management Program is Seeking Feedback on the Coquille Point Marine Garden Management Plan 

The Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) and the Oregon Coastal Management Program (OCMP) are currently developing a management plan for the Coquille Point Marine Garden. The Plan, informed by coastal communities, will provide a framework to support activities within Coquille Point Marine Garden in Bandon. The draft of the Coquille Point Marine Garden Management Plan can be found on the Oregon Ocean Information website. Please provide comments on or before October 27th, 2025.

Read the Draft Plan: Coquille Point Marine Garden Management Plan Draft, Version 5, September 2025 

This Plan is the result of a multi-year proposal and planning effort to designate Coquille Point as a Marine Garden. Marine Gardens are any area within Oregon’s territorial sea or rocky intertidal area that the State designates to protect ocean resources through public enjoyment, learning opportunities, public access, and by supporting ecological integrity. 

Your feedback is important. OCMP is especially interested in feedback on: 

• Chapter 2: Coquille Point Marine Garden Management Strategies 

• Appendix H: Recommended Implementation Actions Table
