DLCD to Host 2025 Rocky Habitat Management Workshop Series
Development of Site Management Plans for New Designated Rocky Habitats
Public Comment Opportunity: Rocky Habitat Site Management Workshops
Location: Online (see Zoom registration links below)
Upcoming Community Workshops:
The Oregon Coastal Management Program (OCMP), housed within the Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD), is hosting a series of virtual workshops to engage communities in the development of management plans for eight newly designated rocky habitats. These plans, informed by coastal communities, will provide a framework to support activities within the designated sites. The sites are located near Cannon Beach, Tillamook, Depoe Bay, Bandon, and Port Orford.
These workshops are an opportunity to learn about rocky habitat management and share feedback with OCMP staff on the plans. Designated rocky habitats aim to balance use and conservation by improving visitor experiences through education, helping reduce harm to wildlife and habitats.
How to Participate:
Register: Use the links provided in the table below to register for the workshop you wish to attend. Workshops will be recorded and made available online.
Share Feedback on Draft Plans: Written feedback on draft management plans is welcome. More details will be available on the About Rocky Habitat Planning Page. Instructions on how to share feedback will also be provided during the workshops.
