Land Use and Transportation Planner (Planner 3)

Join the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) as a Land Use and Transportation Planner (Planner 3) in our Planning Services Division. This position manages individual projects within our Transportation Growth Management TGM program. TGM includes subprograms for Education and Outreach, Code Assistance, Quick Response, Parking Reform and Management, and Transportation System Plan Assessments. This position may manage a specific subprogram. This position will also provide technical consultation to DLCD staff and local governments regarding transportation, growth management, and urban design.  Express your interest and apply today!

 

Salary: $5,395 - $8,292 Monthly

A day in the life. As the new Land Use and Transportation Planner (Planner 3) you will:

  • Lead interdisciplinary teams working with state agencies, recipients, and other interested groups.
  • Monitor contractor performance, review quality of deliverables, and monitor timeliness based on contract. Review invoices and approve reimbursement of project costs.
  • Manage specific TGM subprogram consistent with program guidelines and performance measures.
  • Develop, update, and apply project selection criteria.
  • Guide applicants through the application process.
  • Interpret and explain TGM mission, goals, and objectives to department staff, other state agencies, local governments, interest groups, consultants and the public.
  • Design and deliver presentations and training on land use and transportation planning.
