Department of Land Conservation and Development Approves City of North Bend's Housing Production Strategy

The Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD or department) has approved the City of North Bend's Housing Production Strategy (HPS) with four conditions. North bend is the second city in the state to have their HPS approved by DLCD.

DLCD received notice of the adoption of the City of North Bend’s HPS on June 2, 2023. According to administrative rule, the department posted the HPS for a 45-day public comment period on June 5, 2023. At the close of the public comment period on July 20, 2023, the Department did not receive any comments.

The department is required to complete this review and issue a decision within 120 days of the city submittal. Accordingly, the department informed the city of the final approval decision yesterday, October 3, 2023. The decision is final and may not be appealed.
