What helps people with disabilities find and keep good jobs? Join a conversation to share your ideas.
This message tells you how to join a community conversation about employment services in Oregon for people with disabilities.
At these conversations, you can share what helps people find and keep good jobs, what makes it harder, and what supports are needed.
Your ideas will help Vocational Rehabilitation, also called VR, improve employment services for everyone in Oregon.
We will hold conversations in locations throughout the state, as well as a virtual session in Spanish. Below is a list of locations and links to sign up.
You do not need to use VR services to join the conversation.
Who should attend
We want to hear from many people, including:
- People with disabilities
- Families and caregivers
- People who use or have used VR services
- Advocates
- Schools
- Service providers
- Community groups
Information for people who get VR services:
- You do not have to attend.
- Your VR counselor will not be there.
- Participating will not change your services.
What we will ask
At these meetings, you can talk about:
- What helps or makes it harder for people with disabilities to work?
- What is working well?
- What services or supports are missing?
- What could be better?
Who is leading these sessions
The ODHS community engagement team will lead these meetings. VR asked this team to lead so you can share your ideas freely and honestly.
- No VR counselors will be there.
- Your name will not be shared outside the meeting.
How will we use the information
Your ideas will help VR make services better. VR will use what you share to make a new state plan. This plan will include goals and steps to reach those goals.

Conversations are in English, except for a Spanish virtual session on Oct. 12.
