ODHS updates
Understanding federal policy changes in Oregon
The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) invite contracted partners, ODHS grantees, and faith-based organizations that work with ODHS or serve our clients to a virtual, hour-long webinar sharing updates on recent federal changes that may impact programs and services in Oregon. This session offers a chance to connect with state agency representatives and learn how these changes are being tracked and addressed. Participants can expect a presentation with PowerPoint slides, muted microphones, and a written Q&A option. While the session won’t be recorded, materials will be shared with all registrants and available on the ODHS and OHA websites.
Interpretation and accessibility services are available upon request, please contact Fabiola Herrera at least 48 hours in advance to ensure your needs are met.

The Oregon Brain Injury Program
The Oregon Department of Human Services launched the Oregon Brain Injury Program in January to help people with brain injuries navigate and access the services and supports available to them. Help is free and is available for people of all ages and income levels.
How to get help:
Resource information is provided over the phone and services are tailored to the needs of each individual, ensuring they receive the help that best fits their situation. The Brain Injury Program focuses on empowering individuals with brain injuries through Advocacy, Options Counseling, Resource Navigation and Service Coordination. People who need help can call 1-833-685-0848 (toll-free). The Brain Injury Program accepts TTY calls by dialing 711. Phone lines are open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific. Interpreting services are available at no cost for people who need help in a language other than English.
How to make a referral:
If you work with someone who may benefit from these services, please have them call the program’s resource phone line. This is a great way for community members, healthcare providers and family members to connect individuals with the right services.
How resource providers can participate
Service providers and organizations that support people with brain injuries can be included as resource providers. By collaborating with the Brain Injury Program, organizations can help expand the network of options available to those in need. To be considered as a resource provider, send an email to apd.braininjury@odhs.oregon.gov and include the name of the organization as well as an overview of services and website address.
More information and downloadable flyers (English | Espanol) are available on the Brain Injury Program web page at braininjury.oregon.gov. We also invite you to reach out if you would like to request a presentation about the program from our team. To contact the Brain Injury Program team, send an email to: apd.braininjury@odhs.oregon.gov
