The Senior Farm Direct Nutrition Program provides eligible seniors with vouchers to buy fresh, locally grown produce from June through November. Due to reduced funding, the program expects to serve about 53,000 seniors this year.

This is a federal term and acronym. ODHS does not refer to individuals with noncitizen status as alien. SAVE is a federal system used to verify immigration status for certain public benefit programs, including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Temporary Assistance for Domestic Violence Survivors (TA-DVS), Refugee Program (REF), and Refugee Medical (REFM). It must be used at key points like intake, renewal, or when noncitizen individuals are added to a case, depending on the program. SAVE results must be uploaded to the Electronic Case File (ECF) to support eligibility decisions and documentation.
