Thanks to everyone who attended today's community meeting about VR's 2025-2027 priorities laid out in the ODHS agency request budget (ARB).
Here is the slide deck from today's presentation for reference.
Based on state revenue forecasts, the Oregon Department of Human Services faces an uncertain budget in the biennium ahead. However, ODHS's request budget includes two policy option packages (POPs) to help VR sustain and improve existing services:
- Contract and fiscal compliance: Fund 4 full-time positions in order to meet federal requirements
- Work Incentives Network (WIN) benefits counseling: Fund one new benefits counselor and three regional benefits counselors, plus increase wages for all benefits counselors
ODHS has developed a survey to gather your feedback on VR's policy option packages. The feedback will be shared with the Governor’s Office and will inform the Governor's Budget.
The Governor’s Budget is slated to be released this winter, likely in early December. We will share updates and developments.
