Thank You to the 2024 OPS Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) Members!
Last month, OPS met with three Rules Advisory Committees (RACs) to discuss the draft rules. Each RAC was made up of 10-12 RAC members representing a diversity of perspectives. The RAC members provided input on draft rules related to (1) Implementation of SB 303, (2) Training Programs and Facilitators, and (3) Additional Rules Related to Psilocybin Services and Licensed Premises. We held a total of 22 hours of RAC meetings and received valuable input. You can find RAC meeting recordings and materials on the OPS Administrative Rules webpage.
SB 303 Implementation Update
Senate Bill 303 (SB 303) was adopted by the Oregon Legislature in 2023 and is now codified in ORS 475A.372 and ORS 475A.374.
Beginning January 1, 2025, licensed service centers will be required to collect and compile certain client level data and compile and compute certain service center level data. Service centers will submit total numbers to Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) on a quarterly basis.

OPS will de-identify reported data and ensure these data meet Oregon Health Authority standards before publishing on our website after the first quarter of 2025. We are also in the process of building specific safety, compliance, licensing, and demographic data tables. The OPS Data Dashboard will include a link to each new data set as they become available, along with a description of data sources and limitations.

License Renewal Reminder
All OPS license types have a one-year term, beginning on the date the license was first issued. To ensure license continuity, licensees must submit a complete renewal application at least 60 days before the license expires. Licensee renewal fees must be paid and cleared within 30 calendar days from when the renewal application is approved.

For more information, please refer to the Renewal Application Guide for Renewal Applications Submitted Online for your license type, found on the license specific pages on the OPS website.
Licensees Stay Updated
We regularly add guidance to the OPS Guidance on Administrative Rules document and updated versions are published on or before the first of every month. Please make sure you are familiar with all updated guidance.
OPS also updates forms as needed. Licensees should be using the current forms published on the OPS website. We will be updating some forms after adoption of final 2024 rules and will notify licensees of these updates.
We encourage licensees to continue to check their TLC messages and make sure that your contact information is up-to-date so that you do not miss any important communications. Thank you!
Apply to Serve on the Oregon Psilocybin Advisory Board
Members of the Oregon Psilocybin Advisory Board (OPAB) are appointed by the Governor to serve four-year terms. Because many advisory board members are close to finishing their four-year appointment terms in March of 2025, a number of vacancies will soon become available. We encourage you to consider joining the advisory board by visiting the following page to learn more: Apply to become an Oregon Psilocybin Advisory Board member. Please note that board appointments are handled by the Governor, not by Oregon Psilocybin Services.
Public Listening Sessions Summary
In case you missed it, OPS held a series of public listening sessions at the beginning of the summer. A summary of themes, questions and answers can be found on the OPS Public Listening webpage.
