Oregon Department of Human Services community partner meeting scheduled for Jan. 18, 1 - 3 p.m. at the East Glisan Training Center in Portland.
Community partner meetings are an opportunity for the Director of the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), along with the agency’s Executive Leadership Team, to provide updates to and engage with community partners. The goal of this meeting is to collaborate on policy and budget conversations as we look to the February 2024 legislative session and the 2025-27 budget development process.

Office of Resilience and Emergency Management offers survey on grant funding, open through Jan. 15
The Oregon Department of Human Services Office of Resilience and Emergency Management is looking for feedback from Oregonians about how Resilience Hubs and Networks grant funding may help their communities. This short voluntary survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. Answers are anonymous and confidential and the survey will stay open through Jan. 15.
Office of Developmental Disabilities Services virtual community listening sessions scheduled for Jan. 18
The Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS) invites members of the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) community to virtual listening sessions Jan. 18 on Zoom. ODDS leadership will share updates, listen to attendees’ feedback and experiences, and have a discussion.

ODDS is also hosting a virtual listening session just for the direct support workforce. If you are a personal support worker (PSW) or direct support professional (DSP), you may also attend this meeting to share feedback.
Aging and People with Disabilities shares opportunity to serve on new state committee
Oregon is seeking nine advocates to serve on a newly formed subcommittee aimed at designing more equitable services and supports for LGBTQIA2S+ older adults. Interested people may apply online.
Oregon Eligibility Partnership: Oregon ONE Mobile app helps with medical renewals
People in Oregon can now securely manage their medical, food, cash and child care benefits through the State of Oregon from the convenience of their mobile devices using the new Oregon ONE Mobile app.
The app is available for free in the Apple and Android app stores. It is an official State of Oregon app.
People will need to apply for benefits online, in person at a local office or over the phone. Once you apply for benefits online, in person or over the phone, the free Oregon ONE Mobile app is a convenient way to manage your current benefits, check for important notices and upload documents, all from your smartphone.
In fact, most information and documents people need to submit to renew their medical benefits can be done through Oregon ONE Mobile or through a ONE Online account, saving you time on the phone or at an office.

Vocational Rehabilitation seeks public comment on changes to administrative rules regarding youth services. Public hearings on Jan. 10, Jan. 15 and Jan. 19, 2024.
The Vocational Rehabilitation(VR) program is seeking community partner comment on changes to its administrative rules regarding youth services and rate setting for these services. The public may testify at virtual public hearings scheduled on Jan. 10, Jan. 15 or Jan. 19, or submit written comments from Dec.1, 2023 to Jan.31, 2024.
Community resources
On Jan. 1, 2024, Portland General Electric (PGE) increased its rates 18 percent. The utility’s Income-Qualified Bill Discount (IQBD) program provides monthly reduction of 15 and 60 percent for eligible people with their PGE bill besides any other help a person gets.
