For the 2022 - 2027 1115 Medicaid waiver, Oregon has received approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to deliver continuous eligibility benefits for Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members and health-related social needs services (HRSNs) including climate supports (Jan. 2024), housing services (Nov. 2024), and nutrition benefits (Jan. 2025).
OHA is continuing to work on receiving CMS approval to expand access to a limited set of Medicaid services for individuals in carceral settings 90 days prior to release. The goal is to help stabilize reentry into the community. CMS has approved Special Terms and Conditions (STCs) for California, which has set the baseline for Oregon’s negotiations.
