Functional Limitations training in November and December
Cornell University will present three virtual trainings this fall for employment service providers. All sessions are noon to 1:30 p.m. An hour training will be followed by 30 minutes for discussion, dialogue and technical assistance. Follow the link to register.

Understanding SSA Benefits and Employment
Work Incentives Network staff are leading this free 6-hour training that will cover the basics about work incentives and the impact employment has on benefits. The trainings are split into two half-day sessions from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 14 and 15. Register on Workday Learning.
Celebrate NDEAM with Employment First strategy session
A final opportunity to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 12 to 1 p.m. on Zoom. You do not need to register in advance.
This session will provide an overview of future strategies the Office of Developmental Disabilities Services is undertaking with partners to build capacity, implement Oregon’s Employment First policies, and ensure equitable access to Oregon’s Public Workforce System for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This session will also encourage a discussion regarding priorities and how to get involved.

Disability Resource Fair | Portland
Meadowlark Employment Services is hosting Disability Resource Fair Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be information about utility assistance programs, healthcare resources, disability supports, and employment services. Several area employees with positions to fill will be there, too!
University of Oregon Dining Services job fair | Eugene
On Nov. 3 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. and 1 – 3:45 p.m. University of Oregon Dining Services is hosting a hiring event that will include an overview of dining services, a tour of facilities, application assistance, and on-site interviews. Dining Services is hiring for multiple positions, including food service workers, cooks, Dining Services Manager/Chef, and Food Service Coordinator.
