What: The 988 Crisis System Advisory Workgroup (CSAW) Steering Committee will hold a second virtual meeting in August on Thursday, Aug. 24.

Purpose: House Bill 2417 (2021) directs the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) to implement an improved behavioral health crisis system. OHA recognizes that many individuals and families with lived experience and from disproportionately affected communities have experienced adverse impacts of the crisis response system due to systemic and historical social injustice. Composed of people and families with lived experience in the behavioral health system, the 988 CSAW Steering Committee ensures the crisis system is grounded in equity and centered on the needs of people in Oregon.
