June Clothing Allowance Payment letters sent in error
TANF eligible families who received the Clothing Allowance Payment in May mistakenly received a duplicate letter this month telling them to expect a $270 Clothing Allowance Payment around June 15.
This letter was sent to families by mistake due to an administrative error. Additional June payments will not be issued.
If you are contacted by families, please apologize for the confusion, and inform them that payments were already issued in May and the letter was sent in error.
The next Clothing Allowance Payments are scheduled for August. If a family is eligible for this payment, they will receive a letter again in August.
July 1 Changes to ERDC – Action Steps for Family Coaches and other Staff
On July 1, ERDC policy changes will enable families to receive cash and child care assistance at the same time and decrease the reasons ERDC cases can close. There will no longer be a separate TANF child care program, since families receiving TANF will be eligible for child care through ERDC.
Eligibility staff have also received information about this update through the transmittal, referenced below, the ONE Weekly Update and from the Oregon Eligibility Partnership (OEP) Learning and Engagement Team’s announcement of upcoming Take Time for Trainings (TT4T).
Family Coaches – Talking Points for Monthly Engagement Meetings
In preparation for the TANF child care transition to ERDC, TANF policy is requesting for family coaches to communicate about the changes in June and July monthly engagement meeting with TANF child care participants. Additionally, we ask that family coaches share about the July 1 changes to ERDC with all TANF recipients, since they can now receive ERDC and TANF at the same time. Below are links to talking points you can reference in your upcoming engagement meetings:
Additional information can be found by accessing transmittal OEP-PT-23-028 and ERDC Transition Toolkit.
