Please continue to refer to the Oregon Medicaid COVID-19 Provider Guide for information related to Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and Citizenship Waived Medical (CWM) coverage of vaccine, testing, screening, treatment and telemedicine services; OHP and CWM eligibility; and other information and resources related to providing and billing for covered services during COVID-19.
Updated COVID-19 Immunization Protocols
OHA has updated the Model Immunization and Pharmacy Immunization protocol for COVID-19 vaccinations, effective Dec. 14, 2022 to include information about bivalent booster vaccine doses for children aged 6 months through 5 years, as recently approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration:
- Moderna bivalent booster vaccine dose for children 6 months through 5 years of age who have completed a Moderna primary series.
- Use of a bivalent vaccine as the third dose in a Pfizer primary series for children 6 months through 4 years of age who have not yet completed their 3-dose Pfizer primary series.
- Pfizer monovalent is no longer approved for the 3rd dose in this series.
- The Pfizer bivalent vaccine is not authorized as a booster at this time for children this age who completed a 3-dose primary vaccine series using monovalent vaccine.

Behavioral health rate increases effective July 1, 2022
To reflect the behavioral health rate increase effective July 1, 2022, OHA:
- Updated the Administrative Examinations Fee Schedule
- Later this month, will publish a new Behavioral Health Fee Schedule that reflects the 30-percent net increase.
- Is working on updating its fee-for-service claims system with all the new rates by January 2023. When this work is complete, OHA will let you know.
