Training for Workday Payroll opens in November
On Tuesday Nov. 1, you will have a new required online training assigned to you in Workday. This training will show you how to enter your time in Workday Payroll to prepare for the expected Dec. 1, 2022, go-live date.
Most Oregon State Hospital employees will not need to complete Workday Payroll training.
Most Oregon State Hospital employees will not be moving to Workday Payroll and will continue to use API for time tracking, attendance, and scheduling and therefore will not need to complete Workday Payroll training.
All OSH employees will use Workday Payroll to view paystubs and will continue to use Workday for the tasks that they use it for today. The most recent OSH November Announcements communication highlights the new manager API time card approval process and information about Workday Payroll training requirements for hospital employees. This communication can be found on the Centralized Timekeeping Office – OWL page along with other available API resources.
As more Workday Payroll communications and resources begin to roll out state-wide, please review OSH-specific communications that will indicate any actions you may be required to take to prepare for this transition.

Scam alert: Fake caller posing as OHA asking for personal health information
The Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO) is alerting Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) clients, partners and staff to stay vigilant when receiving phone calls.
Recently, an OHA employee reported receiving a call from a scammer posing as OHA under the name “OHA Choice.” The caller claimed they were performing a survey on personal health. OHA is not administering any surveys under the name OHA Choice.
Typically, these types of scams, whether by phone, text, or email are intended to obtain your personal information such as medical record information, social security number, credit card bank information and more.
How to protect yourself
- Never give personal information to anyone over the phone that you do not legitimately know.
- Consider blocking the number.
- Do not respond to any survey text messages and delete immediately.
What to do if you receive or suspect a scam call
Visit the Oregon Department of Justice online at www.oregonconsumer.gov or call 1-877-877-9392.
