What: OHA will be hosting a virtual community meeting. The meeting is accessible by a webinar link or conference line.
Topic: The meeting will focus on evaluation of human health and risks from exposure to dioxins measured in residential yards near the JH Baxter wood products facility. This is a follow-up to the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s meeting on Feb. 17 presenting information on sampling soil in yards near Baxter and clean-up plans related to the dioxins in soil in the same area.
Agenda: OHA public health toxicologists will give an overview of past health assessments that have evaluated health and share results about the health risks related to 2021 soil sampling taken from nearby residences. After the presentation, OHA will give time to answer questions people may have about what was presented.
