- COVID-19 restrictions lifting
- How ODHS is adjusting
- Resources
Earlier today the Department of Administrative Services made a series of announcements about the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions. COVID-19 hospitalizations and case numbers continue to drop rapidly across Oregon as the Omicron variant recedes, and many Oregonians are now vaccinated. These factors led the Governor to shift the state into a new phase of the pandemic. A timeline is now set for rolling back the emergency restrictions put in place to protect our health, save lives and keep our schools, businesses and communities open.

Even though Oregon is lifting restrictions, the pandemic is not over. COVID-19 is still present in Oregon, and we must remain vigilant. Many of our colleagues, their family members and people we serve remain vulnerable or unprotected from the virus. We will continue following our current face covering and other pandemic health and safety requirements until April 1, 2022. ODHS fully supports people who choose to continue wearing face coverings beyond April 1, 2022.
ODHS has been planning for these changes and is reviewing the timeline and guidance for state agencies to lift restrictions. We will provide instructions and resources as we get closer to the implementation dates.
Having so many significant changes shared at once can be overwhelming and it is normal for us to be experiencing a range of emotions. The road through the pandemic has been bumpy and we will continue to draw upon our compassion to guide and support each other through this next transition.
Please reach out to your supervisor or managers with questions.
