Updates for Oregon Health Plan providers
Oregon Health Plan (OHP) coverage of post-COVID (sometimes called “long COVID”) treatment: Effective Oct. 22, 2021, the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and coordinated care organizations (CCOs) must cover all medically appropriate treatments for post-COVID conditions, including:
For services not already covered by OHP, OHA and CCOs will determine coverage based on case-by-case review for medical appropriateness.

COVID-19 hazard pay and Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for Mental Health Adult Foster Homes: OHA is processing COVID-19 hazard payments for adult foster homes (AFHs) as described in the Sept. 19, 2021 Letter of Agreement between OHA and SEIU 503.
OHA is also updating the Medicaid Management Information System to process COLAs for the 2021-2023 biennium:
- A 5% increase effective July 1, 2021, and
- A 2.3% increase effective April 1, 2022.
All AFHs that are part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) will receive the COLAs. To learn more, please read the announcement from OHA.

OHA’s Health Information Technology Oversight Council is seeking members for a newly chartered Health Information Exchange (HIE) Workgroup.
The HIE Workgroup is a great opportunity for individuals who want to help advance health equity in Oregon through health information technology (health IT).
- It will bring together individuals representing Oregon’s diverse landscape of community, health care and social services partners.
- Workgroup recommendations will inform Oregon's Health IT Strategic Plan and OHA’s efforts to accelerate, support, and improve HIE across the state.

Updated guide for hospital presumptive eligibility determinations
On March 1, 2022, OHA will update the income limits listed in the Quick Guide to Income Eligibility. Please use the updated limits when determining eligibility on and after March 1.
