Workday Learning
The Learning section of Workday may have the biggest change to help learners get to their courses faster. Use the new job aid and check out the new look!
Updates to COVID-19 vaccine tasks
As part of Workday's new look, COVID-19 vaccine tasks are getting an update too. New employees will see vaccine tasks as an announcement when they log in to Workday.
Current employees have asked for a way to note that they got a COVID-19 booster shot. The Workday update gives employees the voluntary ability to share their booster information.
Please take a few minutes and make sure your Workday profile accurately describes where you work, like a central workplace, an alternative location or a hybrid situation. The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is asking all state employees to confirm this information by Jan. 31, 2022.
The information helps state agencies manage day-to-day operations, including where to locate employees in case of an emergency. There are job aids to help you breeze through the process, and be sure to read the updated working remotely policy.
The next Stop and Learn session on working remotely is February 9. Read more on the OWL.

Time away from work is important to our wellbeing. Whether it's for vacation, sick leave, or other type of absence, we all must follow the process and submit our requests in Workday. It's important that managers approve or deny the requests promptly to make sure requests don't get hung up when there is a position change like a job rotation. Pending absence requests do not forward to the new manager.
Remember to record absences in ePayroll until we begin using Workday for payroll and time capture, scheduled to debut in July 2022. If you have any questions, please reach out to the ODHS Workday team.
