PORTLAND, Ore. — There are 22 new COVID-19 related deaths in Oregon raising, the state’s death toll to 2,346, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 12:01 a.m. today.
Oregon Health Authority reported 267 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. today, bringing the state total to 160,050.
Note: Due to a delay in laboratory reporting, OHA received a large quantity of approximately 9,000 negative electronic laboratory results (ELRs) on March 15, 2021. The tests are from Aug. 1, 2020 through March 10, 2021. As a result, daily ELR totals are higher than usual for March 15 and percent positivity is lower than anticipated.
Vaccinations in Oregon
Today, OHA cannot provide updates for newly administered first and second doses or cumulative doses administered due to a server outage that affected the ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS) in Oregon and four other jurisdictions. This multi-state outage affected the ability of providers to submit administered vaccine doses, and Oregon’s data totals may be affected in coming days as providers catch up in data entry.
To date, 1,731,755 doses have been delivered to sites reporting to ALERT IIS. Please see the daily media release from March 15 for the last update on vaccination data.

COVID-19 hospitalizations
The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 119, which is one more than yesterday. There are 25 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, which is two more than yesterday.
The total number of patients in hospital beds may fluctuate between report times. The numbers do not reflect admissions per day, nor the length of hospital stay. Staffing limitations are not captured in this data and may further limit bed capacity.

The new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases reported today are in the following counties: Benton (3), Clackamas (28), Coos (3), Crook (2), Curry (5), Deschutes (15), Douglas (13), Harney (1), Jackson (18), Jefferson (2), Josephine (13), Klamath (7), Lake (2), Lane (12), Lincoln (3), Linn (5), Marion (34), Multnomah (50), Polk (4), Tillamook (3), Umatilla (18), Union (3), Wasco (1), Washington (20) and Yamhill (2).
Oregon’s 2,325th COVID-19 death is an 83-year-old woman in Clackamas County who died on Feb. 22 at her residence. The death certificate listed COVID-19 disease or SARS-CoV-2 as a cause of death or a significant condition contributing to death. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,326th COVID-19 death is an 82-year-old woman in Clackamas County who tested positive on Dec. 14 and died on Feb. 13 at Vibra Specialty Hospital of Portland. Presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
Oregon’s 2,327th COVID-19 death is an 83-year-old woman in Clackamas County who tested positive on Feb. 8 and died on Feb. 23 at Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center. Presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
Oregon’s 2,328th COVID-19 death is a 58-year-old man in Coos County who tested positive on Jan. 25 and died on March 14 at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,329th COVID-19 death is an 81-year-old man in Baker County who tested positive on March 8 and died on March 11 at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Boise. He had no underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,330th COVID-19 death is a 46-year-old man in Coos County who tested positive on March 8 and died on March 11 at his residence. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,331st COVID-19 death is a 77-year-old man in Deschutes County who tested positive on Jan. 7 and died on Jan. 30 at St. Charles Bend hospital. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,332nd COVID-19 death is an 85-year-old man in Deschutes County who tested positive on Feb. 6 and died on March 8 at his residence. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,333rd COVID-19 death is a 57-year-old man in Jefferson County who tested positive on Dec. 8 and died on Jan. 6 at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. Presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
Oregon’s 2,334th COVID-19 death is a 79-year-old woman in Lane County who tested positive on March 14 and died on March 14 at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. Presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
Oregon’s 2,335th COVID-19 death is a 69-year-old man in Lane County who tested positive on Feb. 19 and died on March 6 at his residence. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,336th COVID-19 death is a 40-year-old man in Linn County who tested positive on March 11 and died on March 10 at his residence. Presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
Oregon’s 2,337th COVID-19 death is a 91-year-old man in Marion County who tested positive on Jan. 21 and died on March 4 at his residence. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,338th COVID-19 death is a 71-year-old man in Curry County who died on March 7 at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital. The death certificate listed COVID-19 disease or SARS-CoV-2 as a cause of death or a significant condition contributing to death. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,339th COVID-19 death is a 62-year-old woman in Marion County who tested positive on Feb. 16 and died on Feb. 27 at Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,340th COVID-19 death is a 70-year-old man in Multnomah County who tested positive on Dec. 16 and died on Dec. 29 at his residence. Presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
Oregon’s 2,341st COVID-19 death is a 78-year-old man in Multnomah County who tested positive on Jan. 4 and died on Feb. 25 at his residence. He had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,342nd COVID-19 death is an 88-year-old woman in Multnomah County who tested positive on Jan. 16 and died on March 5 at her residence. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,343rd COVID-19 death is a 98-year-old woman in Polk County who tested positive on Feb. 25 and died on March 3 at her residence. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,344th COVID-19 death is an 85-year-old woman in Polk County who tested positive on Jan. 20 and died on Feb. 18 at her residence. She had underlying conditions.
Oregon’s 2,345th COVID-19 death is an 82-year-old woman in Washington County who tested positive on Jan. 25 and died on Feb. 10 at her residence. Presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
