Sections 40-43 of House Bill 4212 (2020) require the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) to adopt rules requiring health care providers to collect Race, Ethnicity, Language, and Disability (REALD) data for COVID-19 encounters and report this data in accordance with Oregon’s disease reporting rules.

Diabetes Control & Dental Care for Patients with Diabetes
The Oregon Rural Practice-based Network will present a half-day virtual training and provide an additional five hours of technical assistance per clinic team for individually tailored improvement support targeting poor HbA1C and oral health evaluation.

Apply for new round of federal Provider Relief Fund payments by November 6, 2020
Starting this week, providers can apply for new Provider Relief Fund payments. The federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) expects to distribute approximately $20 billion to eligible providers, including previous applicants and recipients, behavioral health providers and providers who began practicing in the first quarter of 2020.

COVID-19 testing guidance updated to recommend that people in the following groups be tested regardless of whether they have symptoms:
- Close contacts of confirmed or presumptive COVID-19 cases.
- People exposed to COVID-19 in a congregate setting (e.g., residential care facilities, childcare facilities, group homes, schools, agricultural workplaces, food processing plants, jails or prisons, shelters)
- Migrant/seasonal agricultural workers upon arrival in Oregon
- Videos and material from OHA's weekly provider information sessions
OHA has directed coordinated care organizations (CCOs) and dental care organizations (DCOs) to arrange for replacement of the following items lost due to the recent wildfires, and asks those serving fee-for-service members to do the same.
- Durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies
- Full or partial dentures
- Prescription drugs
For CCO members, please coordinate replacement of DME, supplies, prescription medications or dentures through the member’s CCO.
For DCO members, please coordinate replacement of dentures through the member’s DCO.
For FFS members, submit a prior authorization request to OHA. Enter “EMERGENT REPLACEMENT – FIRE EVAC” in the "Justification" section of the EDMS Coversheet.
- Mark requests for DME and supplies as IMMEDIATE.
- Mark requests for full or partial dentures as URGENT.
For FFS prescription medications, pharmacies may request emergent or urgent dispensing as outlined in Oregon Administrative Rule 410-121-0060.
