Next week starts the first opportunity for OHP members in areas with changes to their CCO choices to make decisions about who will serve them in 2020. OHP is “matching” members with a CCO based on the behavioral health and primary care providers they see now. Members who want to keep their matched plan don’t have to do anything. They will be automatically enrolled in the matched CCO.
Members who want to change their plan will be able to make a choice between Oct. 16 and Nov. 17 online, over the phone, or with the help of a community partner. Plans will start Jan. 1, 2020. Members will have another opportunity to change CCOs from Jan. 1 to March 31, 2020.
OHA started its CCO 2.0 outreach in September with its first mailing to OHP members in areas with CCO choices. We also launched a new webpage and started sharing social media messages.
Next week, members who have choices to make about their CCO plan will receive a letter from OHP with instructions on how to pick a plan. Letters will start mailing on Oct. 15.
The letter will include each member’s matched plan, other available choices and instructions on how to tell OHP their choice. The mailing will also include a comparison guide to help members compare their CCO choices. Members can tell OHP their choice online, over the phone, or with the help of a community partner.
OHA has also developed an online CCO search tool that includes information about all CCOs that will go live on Oct. 16. Community partners and others who work closely with OHP members can also download a “Pick Your Plan” flyer to post in their offices.
OHA launched a CCO 2.0 provider page, which shares information about how changes to CCOs will affect providers and explains how to help patients as Jan. 1, 2020, approaches. The new page is aimed at any provider experiencing changes due to CCO 2.0, including the Dec. 31, 2019, closures of Willamette Valley Community Health and PrimaryHealth of Josephine County.
OHA set up a dedicated call center for members with CCO changes to answer questions and help them make their CCO plan choice. This call center will not answer eligibility-related questions or take reported changes to addresses or households.
- The call center’s number is 877-647-0027 (TTY 711).
- Calls will be answered during regular business hours: 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
- Extended hours will be available Oct. 16-Nov. 17, 2019: 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The CCO Choice web form is the fastest way for members to change their plan. The web form is available in English and Spanish.
The web form has three easy steps. Members will use a special Letter ID number that is included in their October letter, as well as their date of birth and OHP ID to verify their identity. After verification, members can make or change a choice. Then they can get an email or printed confirmation.
OHA has developed a training video to learn more about the web form. A video for members explaining how to use the web form will be posted at OHP.Oregon.gov.
The web form will be live on Oct. 16 at: http://bit.ly/CCOchoice.
