The deadline is Sunday, Aug. 18 to apply to participate in a rule advisory committee to help update administrative rules that govern how behavioral health services are delivered in Oregon.
OHA is seeking members for three behavioral health rule advisory committees (RACs):
- Forensic evaluation (309-90), Oregon State Hospital (309-091 to 120) and administrative practice and procedure (309-012).
- General processes and administrative practice: residential substance use disorder and problem gambling (309-018), outpatient behavioral health services (309-019), and CCO 2.0-impacted rules.
- Other rule updates.
See OHA’s fact sheet for a list of the rules under discussion. OHA plans to hold the RACs September 16-18.
OHA is seeking representation from CCOs, community mental health programs, providers, peers and consumers (including current or former Oregon State Hospital patients), young adults and families, stakeholders, advocacy groups, and acute care hospitals.
To participate as a RAC member:
Email bhrulemaking@dhsoha.state.or.us with the specific RACs you want to participate in by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 18.
Organizations, outside entities and advocacy groups should prepare to send only one representative per RAC, consistent with DHS/OHA policy.
