A message from the Director

Good Afternoon,

Today, I’m thrilled to share Growing Oregon Together, DELC's 2024-2029 Strategic Plan along with our first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Action Plan. Outlined in the plans are the agency mission, vision, and values that reflect the agency’s mandate, along with key goals and objectives to guide the work for the next five years.

The multi-year plans are designed to be both ambitious and achievable in the interest of fostering coordinated, culturally appropriate, and family-centered services that recognize and respect the strengths and needs of all children, families, and early learning and care professionals in Oregon.

DELC’s values are integrated throughout the programmatic goals, objectives, and cross-agency strategies which will be used to help monitor and communicate progress. These documents will guide our work as living documents that will continue to be informed by the communities we serve.

This work couldn’t move forward without engagement from partners, community members, early educators, advocates, and many others who took the time to provide input. I want to thank all those who took the time to provide feedback and support as DELC worked to envision and develop these plans. Thank for your partnership in helping us achieve this milestone.
